Our story

Twins Carl and Peter Bird first started keeping chickens at a local allotment in the mid-1960s. The egg industry was in its infancy at the time, but the brothers saw the potential for building a future-ready egg business.

After nearly 50 years of strong will, hard work and continued re-investment have gone into creating the successful and growing business that Bird Bros has become today.

It now supplies over 3 million eggs every week, filling around 20,000 boxes in about 20 different box sizes, with freshly laid eggs packed into boxes and despatched in a matter hours.
